Since our St Lucia departure we have ventured further south to the Grenadines, a long days sail past St Vincent to Bequa with a good taste of the Atlantic to starboard. Winds all day at 19Knts from the east and seas of 3’ to 5’ had the boat cruising on a beam reach at 7Knts or better all day.

The Untethered offshore journey is not always simple days with favorable winds and following seas as each port can bring customs and immigration and clearing in and out of countries depending on ports of call.  We found a pleasant Sunday Customs/Immigration crew in Admiralty Bay on Bequa as our first port in the Grenadines.

After clearing into the Grenadines we spent a calm night at anchor and an onshore Blues Band at a beach taverna before raising anchor and heading south again to the deserted white sand and palm tree dotted island Petit Nevis. As we headed further south to our next port it was clear that the sea air, sun, waves and continuous motion of the boat had us acclimating to the life offshore, where nothing is still and all is in motion all of the time. But with that comes a calm and reassuring rhythm to each moment and each day as we find our sea legs……

Everything passes, nothing remains. Understand this, loosen your grip…..
