Casting off at last in the Caribbean and leaving the mainland and other ties behind, at least for a short while right now. Left the dock in St Lucia with plans to head south to the Grenadines. Great to be back on board and gathering sea legs and bearings and clocking hours under sail.
Headed south on the Leeward side of St Lucia with a modest 10Knt following breeze and have the boat making 7Knts. First day of blue skies, fair wind and following seas is a great way to start the journey. This will be a short sail as we drop anchor between the Pitons and overnight offshore at Sugar Beach
First offshore trip in nearly 30 years for Christine and I alone and excited to reconnect with the sea and offshore living, great test of voyages, passages and destinations to come!!
You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment.
